| History
Sensilaser Technologies Inc. is a private Canadian company, located in Montreal. Our focus is on developing and commercializing cost-effective, high performance specialty modules and sub systems for fiber optic based sensing systems.
Sensilaser was founded in 2005 by Dr. Qing He (Ph.D., Physics, 1991, Université de Nice-Sophia-Antipolis, France). Dr. He invented a patented technology for producing semi-conductor based, Vibration Insensitive, Low Phase Noise, Lasers (VILPNL).
Early in the development cycle, Sensilaser’s prototypes attracted attention from within the oil and gas industry. David Cox, an industry veteran, joined the company as president and CEO to help bring the product to the offshore ocean bottom seismic market.
Since then, the company has hired four more engineers and put in place a board of directors and advisors with experience in the oil and gas, finance, fiber optic sensing and defence industries.
The company is currently making significant inroads in renewable energy including wind generation.
